Day 01 – Arrival / Negombo

Ayubowan! Start off of your Sri Lankan journey in the coastal town of Negombo, the “little Rome” of Sri Lanka. This small fishing town is packed with activities and scenery and, is located near the airport.Enjoy some of the lip-smackingprawn and crab dishes unique to Negombo which have helped to put this city on the culinary map of Sri Lanka and around the world.

  • Unwind yourself and enjoy the sea breeze as you relax in Negombo beach.
  • Enjoy a mini guided city tour where you’ll be visiting the Old Dutch Fort and Catholic churches.
  • Time permitting visit the Negombo lagoon and the Negombo fish market.

Day 02 & 03 – Kalpitiya

After breakfast head over to Kalpitiyalocated in the North Western region of Sri Lanka. This quirky town offers a beach that isn’t touched by the mass tourism and, the sunset here is truly gorgeous. It’s a sight you would especially remember in your Sri Lankan journey.

Activities and attractions you may choose to experience:

  • Relax and mooch around the beautiful Kalpitiya beach.
  • Enjoy water sports such as wind surfing and kite surfing.
  • Go on a whale/dolphin watching boat ride.
  • An exciting beach camping experience in Baththalangunduwa inclusive of a boat ride.
  • Visit the charming lagoons found around Kalpitiya.

Day 04 – Habarana

On day 04 you’ll be transferred to Habarana, a city located equidistantamong Dambulla, Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, and Anuradhapura. This geographical advantage allows travelers to enjoy day trips to abovementioned cities with ease. Also, it is located near Minneriya National Park that is well known for allowing its visitors to catching a glimpse of elephant gatherings and other animals.

  • Enjoy the rural beauty and wildlife in Minneriya National Park.
  • Experience the simple lifestyle of Sri Lankan villagers in Hiriwadunna.
  • Enjoy sunset with the cool and calm breeze in the evening by the Habarana lake.

Day 05 – Habarana/ Dambulla/ Sigiriya/ Habarana

Go on an exciting balloon ride early in the morning and witness the beauty of Sri Lanka from above. After an authentic Sri Lankan meal witness the beautiful frescoes and Buddha statues in Dambulla rock cave temple. Finally, in the evening get ready to witness a glorious sunsetfrom the top of the 8th wonder of the world at Sigiriya rock fortress. This monolithic citadel built by king Kasyapa is truly a masterpiece. UNESCO has declared Sigiriya as a world heritage site and, it is iconic to Sri Lanka.

  • See the surrounding area from a bird’s eye view by taking a Hot Air Balloon ride (seasonal and based according to the weather)
  • Visit the royal cave temple and the Golden temple in Dambulla.
  • Climb to the top of Sigiriya rock fortress to catch the beautiful sunset.
  • Enjoy the panoramic view from the peak of Pidurangala rock.

Day 06, 07 & 08 – Knuckles

With over 1030 plant species, more than 128 bird species, 31 mammal species and 53 species of reptiles this vast mountain area with 5 major peaks, Knuckles is one of the most important conservation forests in all of South Asia. For all those who love nature and wants a break from the busy city lifestyle, Knuckles is the place to be.

  • Go hiking/ cycling/ trekking through villages covered in terraced paddy fields and the dense jungle.
  • Have a picnic lunch by a waterfallafter dipping yourself in the fresh waters.
  • Enjoy the wonderful backdrops found in mini world’s end.
  • Visit Mahiyanganaya and pay respect at the temple. Also, get a chance to meet the indigenous “Vedda” community of Sri Lanka.

Day 09 –Ella

Ella is a small tea town located in Badulla district of Sri Lanka. This city is notorious among tourist and nature lovers for its breathtaking views surrounded by lofty hills and activities found around the area. The city turns into a party hotspot as the sun starts to sink in the far away horizon. For all eco adventure lovers Ella is a must visit destination in Sri Lanka.

  • Visit the famous Nine arch bridge and climb the Ella rock and Little Adam’s Peak.
  • Enjoy abseiling and soar above the emerald scenery with a zipline experience.
  • Time permitting visit the 2000-year-old Dhowa rock temple.

Day 10 & 11 – Kithulgala

Unwind yourself in the openness for 2-day s as you head over to the main ecoadventure spot in Sri Lanka, Kithulgala. This small town is simply packed with activities and beautiful sceneries that are sure to leave you breathless. With several evidences found in the area dating to pre historic civilizations, Kithulgala is not only for thrill seekers who love nature but also for those who love to be adventurous and discover new things, who value on being knowledgeable and thriving to be better.

  • Enjoy water sports such askayaking, canoeing,flat-water rafting, white water raftingor, simply enjoy a dip in the cold waters.
  • Enjoy hiking and cycling through the dense forest.
  • Visit Belilena cave located a mere 8 km away from the town.

Day 12, 13 & 14 – Bentota

Sink your feet in the soft, golden sand as the azure waters of the Indian ocean tries to hug you in Bentota. This beach resort is packed with fun filled watersport activities. Although the oceanfront seems to be quiet and missing the spontaneoushawker stalls and beach shacks compared to other beaches in Sri Lanka, Bentotaoffers some of the finest hotels and villas accompanied by most probably the largest collection of watersports found in the island.

Day 15 – Colombo / Departure

On the final day briefly visit the commercial capital of Sri Lanka where a mix of ethnicities live in harmony amongst the hustle and bustle of this metropolis. The modern skyline mixed with old colonial buildings, shady tree lined avenues scattered among crowded street bazars and branded shops in huge shopping complexes right next to local markets paint the basic picture of Colombo.
